The Last Horse Bus

This is Nechells in central Birmingham. The photographer captioned this photograph ‘the last horse bus’ and dated it 1906. Horses were still used for goods deliveries but passengers demanded something faster and more comfortable. Technology marches on …. t’was ever thus.
